AH, SWEET MEMORIES
OF SHARON
Most unusual for me
Sweet memories, you see
A love so very sweet
In my heart and soul did meet
But never in this world of ours
A memory land, mine, not ours
I loved a lassie so very dear
But what does that mean
At a mere twelve years
More than fifty years have passed
I remember her still
Yes, and still so dear
I had worked with her father
Read to a class of her brother's
Yet we would never know
Each others touch
She now a sweet memory
A piper she was in those bygone days
I had proof, hanging at the head
Of my bed
Dressed in her regalia
A sweet rose was Sharon
Sweetest of sweet memories.

Sweetest of sweet memories.
